Journal entry by Stacy Crouse

Well, what we THOUGHT would be a good idea was our first huge lesson.

Corey and I thought it would be a nice break for us all to get out of the house for a few days, break up the energy....ya know, try to be human. IT WAS WAY TO SOON.

We rented this super cute Airbnb right on Big Bear Lake, it was beautiful and quiet yet close to what we needed. It was just to soon. We didn’t sleep well, we were all either anxious and pissed off or crying and sad. It was anything but relaxing....which was the entire reason for going.

We woke up Sunday morning and all knew it was time to come home. Problem was, we wanted to spread a bit of Zoe’s ashes over the lake and we hadn’t done that yet. But just like this family does, we come together and figure shit out.....together.  So, that’s what we did. We found the most perfect area coming down the side of the mountain and we were all together when Paisley released a part of her sister into a place she had wanted to visit.

This was one of the many places Zoe wanted to visit. We will leave a piece of her as we continue to make this journey to all of the places she wanted to experience.

But it hurts like fucking hell.
