It has been a crazy past few weeks and I am only now able to piece together the timing of events and how I ended up at the hospital. I am blessed and truly amazed by the hospital's professional staff who worked tirelessly to save me. More so, I am so very thankful and overwhelmed by everyone that came together in support. I had no idea so many people were geared up praying across the country, but I do remember the moment things changed for the best and those prayers became my reality. God is good! To my own surprise after 8 days in the ICU on the first floor, I was sent to the 2nd floor and then left the hospital in three days! (Drs told me to expect a week.)
Being home, my focus has been to gain strength, balance, and eyesight back (some blurred vision). Let’s not forget the sleep I had been missing! Since eating well over the past week and a half coupled with hard work at basic strength training (and just moving around) to regain my balance I am now moving through the house well. No longer having quite the energy, muscle, or lungs I had before, I have been limiting what I do, while crashing in exhaustion often. Each day gets better and I can push further! It’s surreal to think that I was fighting for my life three weeks ago.
I am truly blessed, thankful, and eager to see what God has in store for this life!
