I iced my hands and feet during my Taxol infusions. It worked for me. Taxol frequently causes neuropathy. I did not. We have the ice packs, gloves and booties. Let us know if you would like them. You can get our number from one of the boys.
Damn neuropathy. Mine is not chemo related. Beyond the prescribed Gabapentin the neurologist suggested I try an over the counter Alpha Lipoic Acid 600 mg for the sharp random pains I encounter. Bingo. I would say reduced those about 90%. When I still get uncomfortable the wife and I do foot rubs - bless her soul.
One of the best supplements for neuropathy is Alpha Lipoic Acid. Different brands, always take with mineral water or ginger ale. You can try Nervive with ALA at CVS or different websites are Swanson and Vitacost.
I know you don’t know me (I’m a cousin to Zach’s mom), but I wish I could give you a great big hug right now.
