Journal entry by Brent Steinhöfer —
Its been a while since we have last posted but today marks week nine in Wyle’s chemo treatments. So far he seems to be tolerating them well, aside from the nausea and occasional diaper rash. We are still making our weekly road trips to Rochester where we are becoming regulars at Canadian Honker and Jimmy Johns. We don’t look forward to a lot of winter driving but I can say everyone at Mayo is just amazing. We continue to meet some very uplifting families who are going through similar treatments with their “babies”. We remain very optimistic as does the medical staff and recognize that even though this is the worst thing we have ever had to deal with that there are others out there with a much bigger hill to climb.
Thanks again for all the prayers, thoughts and well wishes it will never be forgotten. We promise to pass it forward and look to the day that we can put this behind us and do what we can to help and support other families going through similar bouts with cancer.
