I adore and admire the amazing man and father I have come to know and love as my Uncle Bobby. You gave me my best friend Rachel, and I am sure quite to your annoyance at times, allowed us to be silly girls in Archibald Avenue. The more I reflect on who you are, Uncle Bobby, and the legend that you are to so many, even in the way you played soccer, I think of the mark you have left even on my own Son, Marek, during you’ll video exchange last year. Marek has since asked about you and if I have any recorded videos of you playing soccer. I chuckled at this as I thought, lawd - this generation who think we always had these fancy video recording devices of cell phones and sport trace cameras. Anyway, I am going to share a little video with Rach of Marek doing what he loves most, that is playing soccer, so that Rach can share it with you. Love you Uncle Bobby! To my dear brother, Bobby, your protection in my early childhood years will always be remembered.. You and Michael did what mama expected you to do “watch over me, keep me out of trouble, but when I got into fights, it took you and Mike to another level, to fight with me against bullies. Don’t remember if you all got the ‘licks’ from mama, but I remember getting it, and mama’s words: no fighting, whether you are right or wrong, fighting can get you or others injured or killed especially when your brothers get into your fights. I think that act was true loving protection for this 4-5 yr old baby girl in the family. You and Mike did your part in protection me then, and I am eternally grateful for your loving oversight. It was pleasing to mama to see her children turned out well! Much appreciation, love and prayers sent to you and the family.
