Bummer. I have a (really) bad knee. The one tine I might be able to shamelessly take advantage of you on the bike and I’m sidelined.

Hang in there, William. You have quite the fan club here in San Antonio.

It’s a fine line between being well-informed and driving yourself crazy with just enough information to be frightening. I can certainly understand the vigilance about every little aspect of your health now. Sounds like, overall, you’re doing better and better. Keep moving forward- you’re my role model!

Hello! I read your update with interest and am glad to see you are keeping on top of things. I understood the skin thing but not the lung one - and I am staying off the internet... I hope both of them turn out OK. I am in London at the moment and Caring Bridge was suspicious about that so it asked me for a password. I hate passwords!!! I remembered it today. Good luck with the shorter but sharper bit of therapy, will be thinking of you. Soon it will be finished and you will be able to concentrate on fattening up. Best wishes to you and Sharon x

William,
You will not even need to take any anatomy/ physiology classes after this is all said and done! You will know so much about the human body!
And so will I. Thank you!
Glad that soon this last hurdle will be behind you and Sharon.
You both are an inspiration in facing reality head on with determination and hope.

William, it's so good to know that you are doing so well. The saying "BAD things sometimes happen to good people", could apply to you, but I think I would change the saying to "GOOD things sometimes happen to good people" now that you are past the surgery. I feel 2019 will be a very good year for you and Sharon . Continue to be able to give us good reports!

Here's to 2019 when the "treatments" will be behind you and you begin to return to your normal vigor and crusty-ness. (DO stay off the internet -- we all should.)

Your are really hanging in there just like I knew you would. You are definitely a much stronger person both mentally and physically than
myself these days. Your "HUD" book continues to get some interesting comments at the bike shop. If your Dad could survive WWI, then I am very confident your current life challenge will bring you forth, stronger and much more mentally unflappable (I think that is the word I want to convey). Who knows, old age does not always treat one kindly in the memory part of the brain. Wishing you a truly wonderful holiday season. Janet is doing good and we had a great Thanksgiving at Timber Rock House.
