I don't know how all this information made you feel, but I felt a need to take a deep breathe. Not quite what you had hoped, perhaps, and somewhat daunting (although not any more daunting than the original diagnosis, surgery and current treatment), but by gosh, it sounds like all that can be done is being done and come 2019 you will be able to come back to your full self. So onward and upward! Let's find a fitting and celebratory way to ring in the coming New Year in the 'hood. (())

Sorry about the Costa Rica trip, but I bet Costa Rica will still be there next year when you are back to 100%! Joy and I are keeping you and Sharon in our thoughts.

William, the care plan sounds extensive, but well thought out. You are very fortunate to have some of the best medical practitioners available to you! We wish you the best on this path and hope you can come up with an end of year plan that suits your needs. Hope to see you guys soon.

I don't know which sounded more knackering - the radiation treatment or the mountain biking/white water rafting/kayaking/hiking/ziplining option! I am sorry you will be missing the Christmas holiday but once you are through all this treatment (end January if I have understood correctly?) and after a bit of R and R, you will be free to overdo things again. Take care and lots of good wishes coming your way.
