William - I was very sorry to hear this news. I saw your ride emails and knew something was not good. I got an update from Stanton this past weekend. My prayers for a successful surgery and full recovery. You are very strong (I've seen you mightily attack the big hills). You are in a good place. May God's love surround you and your family. We are now fully moved in Austin, so let me know if I can help you with anything. I'd be happy to offer some coaching when you're ready to start recovery riding.
William and Sharon, you are in my prayers. As a survivor of Stage IIIC bilateral breast cancer (9 years now), I know you will come through this. You are strong and you have the strength of Sharon and all your family and friends behind you. Thinking of you.
William so sorry to hear about what you are going through. So very relieved to hear that you have caught this in the early stages!!! Positive Thoughts and prayers are with you and Sharon! Stay strong !!
William, you promised me that you are going to push a hundred! I am counting on it! I am so sorry to hear those results!
We are always here for you and Sharon, in any way.
Love,
Ina
William, Sandy and I wish our best for you and Sharon. We know that your superb physical conditioning will help you through this. Keep up the good fight.
William - after seeing your email this morning I contacted Cindy thinking you got back your test results and sure enough you did.... not with the news I hoped to hear however..... I am praying that you are in the early stages and you have the best medical care available to beat this!! You are in fantastic physical condition and that has to be in your favor! Best wishes from your #2 sandbagger (Tammy is #1 and not sure but perhaps Cindy and I are tied!! :)
I'm guessing you can beat this. Modern medicine has worked miracles in spite of the fact that Bones (the Enterprise ship doctor (think Star Trek)) called 20th century doctors barbarians. And sorry i didn't stop to say hi to you and Sharon two weeks ago while biking on shoal creek around 8 am. I was on my way to play racquetball and didn't have time to spare. Maybe you will trade your wedgie for a fine recumbent when you start riding again. i know they are mostly for geeks and geezers but you fit both categories!
Anyway, you know we live nearby, so let us know if we can do anything (mow the yard, etc. ha ha) samangold
Hi William, long time no see!!! I had fun working with you in AME. I remember when you were getting transferred to New Orleans and I suggested you should get together with Stan to ride bicycles together. The next time I saw you, you said I should have told you that Stan was a world class cyclist. Who knew?!?! After our time in Houston, you headed to New Orleans, and I headed to Cairo. I spent 7 years there! Lots of fun!!! I hope you are felling better soon!!!
