Journal entry by William Cox

My left ventricle efficiency has dropped from 55% to 30% since I had the Watchman implanted last month.  Last week, I went to the ED in Ely with water in my lungs/pain/fatigue. As I drove home to pack/go to St Joe’s I fell asleep and crossed over to the opposite shoulder of the road!  I skimmed a group of trees, but miraculously got my car back onto the right lane. My car isn’t really drivable, but I am so grateful that there was no other traffic at 5 am.

Now, after 4 days in the hosp and 6 days at Adel’s house my lungs have improved, I’m dialyzing longer and I’ve lost a crazy 25lbs in excess fluid. So, yes, I’m better. Yay!   But I’d really love to recover from the “hit by a truck” feeling and I’m still very tired and sleeping a lot.  Kind of depressing.  Awaiting test results to make sure that the Watchman is properly placed, but have serious doubts about its untoward effects. I am frustrated and concerned.

Thank you all for your well wishes, healing thoughts and heartfelt prayers!!! Keep them coming!!

Love to all!! ❤️🙏🏻 Bill
