Sam, Amy, and the entire Whitacre family. It is heart-wrenching, to lose a brilliant star in this world...shining his love for all to see. Sam, my heart goes out to you and to the rest of my Whitacre family. Thanks for always being there for Jimmy and for the love you share. Jimmy is in a better place with no more pain. I didn’t get to spend as much time or get to know him as deeply as I’d have liked, but I know he was brave, funny, and a damn good writer among his many other talents. He makes us Whitacre’s proud! And I will miss him.
