Journal entry by Amy Stead —
Our brother, husband, father, cousin, son, uncle and beloved Wes is a private person. We have not shared this with many until recently, at his request.
Our hearts are both heavy and joyfilled today. Wes was diagnosed with a fast moving cancer in August, and upon being placed in Comfort Care, told us he wanted to come home to MN. He has been living in Upstate New York for a number of years now, in his beautiful wife MaryLou’s hometown of the Corning/Elmira area. He has made so many friends here and is loved by so many, but his wish is to come home.
My sister Liz (a nurse), his wonderful children Erik and Jess, his childhood friends Jerry and Paul, beloved wife Mary Lou, and I will embark on the road trip home to MN in the morning.
Please pray for a safe journey for him and a comfortable road trip.
I am so thankful for my brother and his light in my life and the world.
