Stephanie’s Story

Site created on August 9, 2019

Hello to all! I've never done this before so bare with me if I ramble. My mother & I have been very close all my life. I'm an only child yet she states It was as if she raised 7 children with me. Ok so I'm rambunctious. We share humor and belly laughs everyday. So, it was devastating when we discovered she has liver cancer. I am the sole caregiver and I cry several times each day trying to get ahold of my emotions surrounding this.  I KNOW  love and forgiveness conquer all. Some days I am not as successful listening to the love and I fall into the quicksand of fear. I hope this website can be a place to share inspiring quotes, ideas, humor. Let's play, be friends, share ice-cream... I believe we are all in this life to love one another.

Journal entry by Stephanie Miller

I'm unable to sleep tonight. A lot on my mind. Mom's visit this week to the surgeons office confirmed the next steps: chemotherapy and radiation treatments beginning in 2 weeks. To say we are both in shock at this time would be accurate. We are waiting for the drain from her side to be removed and give her time to gain her strength before chemo. Great news: Her brother Charles Davis and his talented wife Joni Davis are coming over Saturday evening to present a concert for mama! He is an accomplished clarinet player and Joni plays the flute beautifully. So I will give updates on this exciting weekend filled with healing music. What a great idea sent lovingly to me by my mom's best friend in Austin,Texas Linda Wilson 💛🧡❤️ Also, I just may have to sing a bit myself.
