Bob’s Story

Site created on April 16, 2019

Our friend Bob Ford was recently diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is the most common form of blood cancer or liquid cancer. The disease forms in the bloodstream or lymph system, a network of vessels, nodes and organs that carry immune cells throughout the body. However, Bob has been diagnosed with a rare and highly aggressive form called Burkitt’s Lymphoma.   Bob is currently undergoing treatments at the University of Washington Medical Center.  He will continue his treatments for approximately 6 more months.  It is hard to know how he will feel during this time, so I’ve created this site to help Bob, Kendra and the girls with anything they may need during this challenging time.

To help, go to "Ways to Help" and click on the “gofundme” or "Planner" icon to sign up for meals or other projects that come up.  Select the date and event you'd like to help with and select the task.  Bob and Kendra are asking that all meals be delivered to Kendra's parents house (Rich and Patty Sanchez) located at 2816 N. Canal St. in Ellensburg.  Unfortunately, Bob has many food restrictions while going through his treatment, so please make meals for just Kendra and the girls.

Events and projects will be added by me and Kendra as they arise...please check back for more ways to help!!

I love these people very much and I know you do too!  It is my hope that we as a community can rally around them and make this crazy time in their lives easier!  Thank you in advance for your help, your prayers and your support!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 509-899-4770 (tel:509-899-4770).

Newest Update

Journal entry by Kendra Ford

Bob went back to work today! I love this photo of Bob and Cami this morning. The girls are so proud of how strong their dad is.  Life is good. Girls are happy. Bob is getting his energy back and we are getting back to a normal routine. Normal is such a wonderful word. Some of our friends helped us celebrate Bob’s health and it was fun and sweet. Bob will continue with monthly labs for a while. We can’t say thank you enough for praying for us.  We’ll keep this updated for a little while longer.
Love and gratitude,
The Ford Family
