Wayne’s Story

Site created on July 22, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Thank you for your support and words of hope and encouragement. We thank the Lord for his provision for Dad. We have seen Him work through the medical personnel and so many of you lifting us all in prayer.
Monday evening Dad started having symptoms of a stroke as he was getting ready for bed. Mom recognized the symptoms right away and called the ambulance. He was having trouble breathing, so he was intubated and then had a CT scan showing a massive cerebral hemorrhage. Very quickly he was air lifted to St Cloud where he was taken into surgery. They removed the large clot and placed a drain to equalize the pressure on his brain as well as removing a part of his skull for swelling. We are so thankful for the optimistic reports from the surgeon and the wonderful care he is receiving. My sister Kim is able to stay with Mom and we are so thankful she can be there to support both Mom & Dad.

The best weapon in this battle is prayer - thank you for wielding a sword!
