Journal entry by Sagay Wilder —
Good morning family,
Champ’s white blood cell count is decreasing so the new antibiotic seems to be working!!! He’s having a barium swallow test today to look at his throat, esophagus, and lungs. He said they are going to try to get him up today to walk in his room 😊
SN: He has aspiration pneumonia. Aspiration pneumonia occurs when food, saliva, liquids, or vomit is breathed into the lungs or airways leading to the lungs, instead of being swallowed into the esophagus and stomach.
