I have a few very cool memories of Warren … And really the whole family. When we first came to temple Beth, Israel, Warren and Michelle and family were assigned as our new member buddies. Michelle and Kate had been friends from way back at camp so I doubt that was a coincidence. They invited us for dinner, and it was such a fun time getting to know them and the girls, who were young at the time. I can’t even recall the year! I think our kids were babies… it must’ve been around 2005 or 2006. Another very awesome memory I have of Warren is when I was running on the treadmill at lifetime fitness he would walk by and cheer me on , it always gave me a burst of energy. We both had martial arts in common.

I’ll always remember car pooling with Warren to the Fight 2 Win events that many of our team competed in. It was in Villa Park so we’d get a chance to talk one on one for over an hour each time. Warren had a curious and unique perspective on life, and I learned to think outside the box from him. He was amazingly proud of his family and he took a genuine interest in me outside of the gym. I was also subject to his seemingly endless supply of some of the corniest dad jokes!

When Warren was on Workshop and adopted by us, our first child was born..... Warren wanted to buy a present but had no idea what to get for a new born..... So he bought a plush toy - a monkey, with scotch on the hands to hang around the neck....
We named it Monkey and he had a long career with all 5 of our kids!!! He was drooled on, vomited on, even peed on over the years!!! Several years later, one of the times we washed Monkey, our adopted workshopper of the year went to use our bathroom and came out saying" There's a monkey floating facedown in the sink!!!! "
Years and years later, we found Monkey and decided to give him to Lotan with the story of how Warren bought Monkey for him. .... Monkey has a special place in our hearts and of the thoughtfulness that Warren had.....

Warren was always inquisitive about what I was working on, maybe he wanted to sell some secrets to China or Russia, but I think he was just a curious person wanting to keep up on the latest technologies and grow his own knowledge.
