This is October 2023, and I have only just found this page. I will miss her story telling, and the generosity of spirit that shines through it. Not so easy back in the day for a UK reader to find her books, but we managed.

I'm late in discovering that the good Vonda McIntyre is gone from this world. I'm saddened to hear of it. I never met her in person, but we communicated very infrequently over the years between 1997, after she purchased my painting used for the cover art of The Moon and the Sun (Pocket Books), and occasionally up to 2017. In my few dealings with Vonda, besides her being a delightful creative, she deeply impressed as also being an honest, kind, considerate, and thoroughly reliable person. Adieu, Vonda.
