Jane, thank you for this post and please do let Vonda know that I look forward to reading her book--and am sure many others are as well. As I've said before, my first published anthology (Women of Wonder, back in 1975) would not have existed in the form it did, given that Vonda tipped me off about the publisher (Vintage) and maybe wouldn't have existed at all except for her. Vonda, you are in my thoughts!
Jane, I appreciate the no-doubt exhausting work you're doing, and the sharing of updates as you can. I suspect there are many more readers than those who comment (including me, until I made notes both here and in Well Wishes today) who feel the same. Thank you.
Vonda - I still remember sitting at a table in a small cafe near my office (a job that I absolutely loathed), ignoring the fact that my lunch half-hour was long over, and devouring "Of Mist, and Grass, and Sand." I've loved your work ever since. Your writing has been an inspiration to me, and I will be forever grateful.
Dear Vonda ,
Your small beaded critter decided to take up residence by my right hand this morning to send you back some of the beauty you crocheted from the earliest years into your writing as well as other sorts of crafting.
