Thanks for the update, Jane. I am so sorry she is going through all of this. And yes, all too many people don't understand the difference between early stage and advanced/metastatic cancer. Pancreatic is very stealth and often diagnosed at stage 4, sadly. I hope the doctor can get her liver functioning better. It's crucial for her to be able to tolerate the chemo (any chemo). Again, holler if you'd like me to look for any clinical trials here at Fred Hutch.

This is all very familiar to me from my mother's journey, and the stent should really help a lot. We also faced the same choices regarding chemo. For Vonda I hope the very best, longest quality time possible.
