Anita’s Story

Site created on May 10, 2018

On July 3, 2012 I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. For nine months it was a emotional and physical rollercoaster. On July 2017 my family and friends completely surprised me with a 5 year celebration. Life could not get any better.... until March of this year I was diagnosed again with breast cancer and it was stage II again. I had to in order to be strong but not only for myself but for my three beautiful children. I have to prove to them once again that we will get through this.  So here I am, five years later about to start the fight again....

Journal entry by Anita Ybarra

Going to get my haircut this morning. Nothing too dramatic just a cut shorter than what I have. I know my hair will be falling out soon so I just want to get ready... physically and mentally.
Still a little weak and tired today but this weather doesn’t help.
