Journal entry by Maria cuccurullo

Our Father, Vincenzo Villani, has always loved hard and worked hard.  His whole life has been dedicated to his determination and ambition in creating a life to be proud of, and a life that is full of family and friends to love and admire.

Our dad has always been our toughest critic and our proudest supporter.  He never gave up an opportunity to give us his advise, and has always enjoyed being involved and apart of our endeavors and undertakings.  Whenever there was work to be done in our homes or in our gardens, he never wanted to be left out.  He wanted to be included always.

We have learned so much from him; a lot of who we are is contributed to his model of sacrifice, discipline, guidance and achievement.

Our dad has been blessed with so many wonderful and deep routed friendships.  It is such a great feeling when you run into someone and they say, "hey, say hi to your dad, he is such a great man", or "how is your dad, he is so nice, and is always offering us to sit and have some wine with him", or "hey, saw your dad yesterday, he was out there working hard in his garden as usual, what a hard worker".  These are just a fraction of the many things we always hear from people.

With his children, family and friends living so close, he has been able to celebrate with many of us an abundance of life's most treasured and blessed events;  this is such a valuable and crucial part of our dad's love of life and has been his most proudest and cherished moments.

Thank you to all of you who have given him your love and your friendship. He loves seeing and visiting with you; please, know you have been such an important, influential and meaningful part of his life.

Please pray for Vincenzo Villani, our beloved and precious father who is very ill; suffering from bone marrow cancer and fighting for his life and to continue to have the opportunities to embrace the precious moments with his family and friends.
