I have tears in my eyes as I read this. I remember that Friday night; Lucas was running around the yard in one of Vincents’ old swimsuits, keeping him in our thoughts that night, though at the time we had no idea the peril he was facing. Though I can’t change the path, I will be there to walk the path beside you. Your family is always in our thoughts, and Lucas is grateful for Vincents’ friendship! Lots of love from the Smyth Family.

Beautiful words Rachel. It is so hard to surrender to God and trust. But there is so much beauty to see when you do. We continue to pray for you all!

Thank you for sharing your family’s journey with all of us. Vincent is God’s gift, a miracle for all of us to behold. He will have challenges through life, as will all of us. Your family is surrounded by a community of friends and family that will be Vincent’s army to help and protect him from the cruelty of the world. May God continue to bless and keep all of you!

Your family has worked so hard, been challenged, stretched and molded into new versions of yourselves. You have all become very strong from the work. From challenge, you have gained confidence in your faith and it’s fruits. You’ve been stretched to have bigger hearts; molded to be the exact people that God needed on His worldly battlefield. It isn’t how any of us would ask for these works to be done, but you’ve received your assignments with grace, hope and faith. We will continue to walk with you, grow together, and support you and Vincent. Your Father is looking down on you, proud of the glory you give. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Much love from the Larsens

We think of Vincent often and have wondered how his recovery was coming. We live on the edge of the bluff directly in front of where this terrible accident took place and remember witnessing the accident from our patio. Please know that you all are in many prayers from those of us you don’t know personally in the community. God has a positive plan for Vincent and it will reveal itself slowly over time. Take care and God bless the entire family. Tom & Annie Wilder

Vincent, we love you very much and we are so proud of you! Thank you for being a wonderful friend to John. Your presence fills everyone around you with joy. What a gift! You were created for greatness and we are excited to see the amazing things God has planned for your future.

For I know well the plans I have for you says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.
