Vicky’s Story

Site created on October 11, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On September 25, 2020, after weeks of not feeling well, we discovered that Vicky had a large mass on the temporal lobe of her brain. On October 1st, she had surgery to biopsy the mass and determined it is Glioblastoma.

She spent a week in the hospital in Duluth, MN, healing from surgery and being monitored for on-going seizures while the specialists determined pathology and next steps.

She is now at home recovering from surgery and will begin radiation and chemotherapy within a couple of weeks. She's having good and bad moments, dealing with the pain of recovery and on-going seizures, but she maintains a positive outlook and appreciates everyone's love, support, prayers and well-wishes.

As you can imagine, this is a very busy and tiring time, so please your messages for Vicky and Karen here on our Bridge Site and we will read them as we are able. We will continue to post updates for you all.

Love,
Karen, Vicky and Family
