How awesome! Way to go, Vicki. I’ve always admired the way you have had the knack to teach students. Always willing to give that extra time to be patient to allow that teachable moment with a smile on your face. You might not remember me but I was a triage nurse in Kasson for a few years & had RCTC students on the OB floor where you would come with Family Med. So proud of everything you have overcame!! Keep pushing & praying you have many great teaching moments ahead!!

Yay Vicki and Will--and yay God for the tremendous healing that has already happened, even though it happened over quite a long time and with an awful lot of hard work! I am so happy to get this update--just wish Vicki could have only "good" days ahead. Ann Parker

Dixie. Vavrichek nurse from Kasson and the Family Med Residence Program. I started when there were 4 residents now look! Vicki, you were one of those who stood out from the pack. I can name about a dozen outstanding residents of which you were one and a few that were not so great if you know what I mean. I think of all the teaching required to be one of the best and your plan to teach Family Med what it is like to live is fantastic. This gives Residents more “street smarts” and they can never get enough of that. Damn I am so proud to know you! With great respect, Dr Nesses nurse,Dixie

Thanks for the wonderful update! Your "LOVE" for each other has carried you through the last couple of years. Wow, so happy that Vicki can be an inspiration to other people by giving her talks. Would love to visit with you two sometime this summer. Love, Aunt Judy

Vicki and Will, we are so very happy to hear of the progress you have been making. It is so exciting to hear about your improvements, Vicki, and to hear about your choice and your ability to create a presentation to help professionals understand people like you (and us). That is awesome. The attitude you both have taken is so admirable and sets you up for joy much better than bitterness would. Don decided not to get bitter, and even though his life is way different than we planned, he finds joy in using some of his old skills to connect with other people. He helps many through that effort. Like you, we have our daily challenges, but we've made it over 30 years now. We are really proud of you and wish you continued progress. Working together as a team helps you both. God bless you.

Thank you so much for updating. I worked with the other Dr. Jacobson on a Saturday a while back and had asked how things were going. Truly a blessing and miracle!
