What a wonderful surprise to find this just before I am heading to bed! Your honesty is so refreshing, both about the surprises that were hoped for but not necessarily expected -- like no need for a shunt so far (we have two children with shunts) and the acknowledgement that there will be challenges ahead. I loved your reflection on Junia's life and all that she has given you since her birth when you didn't even know if she would live. You have certainly had a challenging year with your own health and yet it is so beautiful to me that all that you are dealing with was a result of your brave decision to have surgery before her birth to give her a chance at a better outcome. You are a woman of faith and an inspiration to me and I am sure to many others who face difficult decisions to use our lives to serve others the way God calls us to do. So thank you for taking time to share all of this. It is a privilege to pray for all of you and to entrust Junia to God along with you. I am so thankful for the ones who have showed up for you and Judson and your girls this year. I am sure you blessed each other in the process.
