Newest Update

Journal entry by Vanessa Trotter

Happy Friday Eve,

Hey everyone, Michael and I are back home from Portland. I had a bunch of blood tests and a biopsy done. Everything has come back looking great so far. My neck is a little sore from the procedure but healing nicely. My biopsy came back with no signs of rejection meaning I will get to skip the October biopsy. I also get to lower my prednisone dose a little bit in October.

We still have to go back to Portland next month for a special heart care blood lab to be done. It'll be a shorter stay this time around. My levels of antirejection drug tacrolimus are high and I've been experiencing some aches and pains in my joints. The doctors lowered my dose of tacrolimus, I hope that helps with the pains and I'll get a recheck of blood labs on Monday. They did add another medication as my blood pressure has been getting high. But other than that I'm glad to be home again and comfortable.

Thank you everyone for thinking of me. I want to let you all know that I value all my friendships and am glad you are all in my life. I also want to send a prayer to those of you that have been affected by the coronavirus or any other ailments or stress. These times have been hard so I remember these sayings.
Be ok with the good times and also the bad times.
It's the human experience.
This too shall pass.
Not sure who said them but helps me know the bad times won't last forever. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend will talk to you guys later.
