Ursula’s Story

Site created on August 23, 2019

Ursula has been "bored" with all her activities and knew she needed some excitement in her life. Enter Stage 3 Ovarian and Peritoneal cancer! She had been fatigued for quite some time, and had a large amount of fluid building up in her abdomen. We got the diagnosis 2 weeks ago. She will have 9 weeks of chemo (1st one was Friday) and then another CT scan to see how things are doing.  She has a long road ahead but she is ready to fight!

Happy Birthday To Ursula!

Today Mom is a young and spry 82! Please give her a shout out to wish her a happy birthday!

I meant to update sooner but here we go. Mom's cancer is back, unfortunately.  She was still feeling quite fatigued so they did another scan in late July that showed it is growing again. She is now on 2 new chemo drugs. One she takes everyday by pill, and another we go to the infusion center for every 3 weeks. She will have another scan at the beginning of October to see the progress.

One of the drugs acts like a blood thinner so Mom has to be careful not to get cut or hurt herself. No more chain saws in the backyard I guess! Ha!

Praying this round of medications works well for her. Thank you for all the words of encouragement!

Love, Sue
