Monday afternoon my brother Jim passed away.  

We are devastated and crushed and still trying to process this enormous loss in our lives.

He did not embrace us in one last fast paced, high energy conversation. He did not crack jokes to lighten the mood. He did not pass with a grand crescendo as even he expected.  He left this world as the Jim that few knew....calm, at peace, surrounded by his beloved pets, his devoted brother and all the love of his family. I want to believe his pain is gone, his heartbreak is healed, and that he can be with his sons once again.  I want to believe he has finally found his peace. 

I am still in shock. How will this world go on with out his spirit, his stories, his contagious laughter?

Please pray for my parents and my family as we all navigate through this unbelievable void in our lives. 

Rest in peace big brother. I will forever love you.
