Moving on up!

Hey everyone! Happy holidays and merry Christmas! For those of you that are big gift givers, well here is my gift for you!

It’s official I moved from Madonna in Lincoln Nebraska to QLI in Omaha Nebraska. The move happened yesterday from the day I’m writing this update! I am in House6 on the QLI campus and so far from my tours and meeting of the staff I am super excited to be here.

As far as my growth from Madonna is concerned, it has been wonderful! My ability to move myself around on the bed and from my chair to other surfaces has increased greatly! With a little help I can slide myself from my wheelchair to a bed or a couch! I’ve also picked up on some self-care in the bathroom, which sounds like a shitty skill to have but for me it’s quite a splash! I can’t thank the staff at Madonna enough for my huge personal growth that took place there! my OTs like Sam and Annalee, my favorite nurses including Kaylee and Melissa, my PT friends Rhonda and Kathy (there was a Kelsey in there and a Huong), therapists Liz and Beth, case manager Chelsey, multiple Baileys, Dr  K, And of course many others, were breath of fresh air in some of my rougher days!

I’m excited to be in Omaha because that’s one step closer to home! Thank you all for your support and your kindness! Feel free to follow me or reach out to me on Facebook if you want some more updates and videos!
