I missed updates from earlier this year, but everything that I've read is very encouraging. I also got to see the closing performance of Tuck Everlasting, which I thought was an outstanding production. It's a challenging show for a community group to produce, because it has a lot of ballet. Apparently members of the cast came up with their own dancing, and pulled it off admirably.
I hope further updates include more of Tyler's successful venturing into public activities.
I just got connected with this journal about Tyler’s recovery and I’m so glad I did! I was Tyler’s OT at KFRC and think about him so often. I’m so excited to hear all this amazing progress. He’s always been such a hard worker and never said no to anything I gave him in therapy! Makes sense why he’s progressing so well :)
I’m really looking forward to staying connected. Since working with Tyler, I’ve created an online community for caregivers of people recovering from brain injuries and strokes. I have only one other parent inside the community who is caring for someone with Locked In Syndrome and I would really love to connect you all! A little support from someone who is going through something similar goes a long way.
Shoot me a text or an email and I’d love to have you inside the community :) say hi to Tyler for me please!
I love checking in on Tyler and reading your posts. So glad to see he has made such incredible progress. I think of him often. Please send him all my love 💜💜
It's incredible how far Tyler has come and how much he keeps improving! He (and his entire support team, not the least of which is his dedicated family) should be commended! Thank you for the update!
Dalton, can Tyler use "melt-in-your-mouth" foods to get flavor satisfaction without having to swallow? I found these: theeatbar.com (sweet meringue bars) or savorease.com (crispy melts with flavors like popcorn or herb). I was thinking if he gets sweet or salty cravings something like that could help satisfy. --Aunt Kim
My love and prayers go out to Tryer and his family. What an amazing family. So happy to hear about is continuing progress.
Sending prayers and love every day. 🙏
As tears roll down my face, I am over the moon with joy that Tyler keeps making huge progress.
Family support and exceptional care from all of you are the key to his success! I know all to well how taxing and extremely difficult this is as I have been going through a similar situation with my granddaughter over the past 15 months. My hats are off to you all because it is hard, but the milestones bring so much joy and reward for all of the hard work you all put in. Continued prayers to you all. ❤🤗
