Journal entry by Brianna Weeks

It’s been a couple of weeks! We were grateful to have family come visit us during Easter weekend.  Tyanna even had a couple close friends come visit for a few days. It was great hearing them laugh together. 🥰

Tyanna has moved into a new wheelchair due to her amazing progress. This chair is one that she’ll control more on her own as she gets stronger.

Conrad will soon be starting home modifications for when she comes home.
we’ll be installing 2 ramps for entryways and some other modifications for getting around the house.

Tyanna continues to use her left leg. (almost more than the right side!)  Her left arm is also waking up!! We see this moving more and more however, the fingers on the left hand will need some Botox injections to help straighten them out (hopefully there will be some extra I can use! Ha! 😉)

Her Trach has been out for a couple weeks and she is  working on meeting her daily water goal so she can get the feeding tube removed!!  This is finally the last thing to go!

Her right knee has been bothering her all this time so they recently did an MRI.  All ligaments look good but there is a screw that has been troublesome.  So we’ll  meet with an ortho surgeon next week to discuss.

We’ll also meet with a neuro optometrist later this week to check out her left eye.  We know she can see out of it but has a very hard time with what she’s able to see.

The shy & quiet Tyanna we once knew will now talk your ear off and make you laugh non stop.  It’s great. She’s doing great!
