Truro’s Story

Site created on October 17, 2019

Cassidy and Paul welcomed Truro Dobek Fletcher into their arms on Monday, October 14 at  7:10 p.m.  He was born at Providence Portland Hospital in Portland, OR, Paul catching him and placing him on Cassidy’s chest instantly.  Thus their family started a big journey!

Truro’s a strong, robust baby by all accounts!!  However, his path right now includes some medical challenges that are still being figured out.  He’s in the neo-natal ICU at present, being evaluated, and the family will know more as time progresses.  As we said, all the nurses and medical staff have remarked on how strong and robust Truro is, and we’re hoping he’ll blossom into complete wellness very soon.

Cassidy, Paul, and Stacey, Cass’ mom, are all with Truro, and Cassidy is regaining her strength after a long, hard labor.  She showed remarkable strength and presence during the labor, and she and Paul dropped into being stellar parents the moment Truro appeared.  This baby boy is immersed in love in so many ways!!

Please hold sweet Truro, Cassidy and Paul, along with their extended families in your hearts and prayers, envisioning a healthy, happy family full of joy and well-being.  We are grateful for your love and support.

Stacey here:

They're FINALLY home, including Lulu, and settling in beautifully. We were released from NICU yesterday late afternoon. Truro has recovered so much that now he's nursing full-on without any issues as of this morning. They're able to do the NORMAL blissful things that come with being home with a lot of support from myself, Scott, and Mesa. It's been an Odyssey, for sure, of multiple realities that has all of us bonding around Tru.

He's so sweet and is really coming into himself. His adventure has taught us so much already.

Thank you for all of your good vibes, powerful prayers, and love.

And welcome home to the sweet new family!!
