Journal entry by Tricia Mercier —
Today is my 10 year cancerversary. A lot has happened over those 10 years, 4 surgeries, 9 different therapies, and the most important number, 4 years cancer free! I only have to go in for scans and blood work twice a year, and eventually that will be yearly. At one point I didn't think I would see age 60, but not only have I made that, I am cancer free and will be able to retire in June of 2025! I will be forever grateful for all the support from family, friends, my school family, church family and community. I was so fortunate to have all of you as well as the best cancer team at Mayo Clinic. I had the same oncologist for all those years and she was second to none. Unfortunately she will not be seeing me anymore, which is tough to take, but I will still be in good hands. There is always a little survivor's guilt, not everyone is a fortunate as I am. Please keep those people in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks again everyone for all the love and support!
