I am from southwest MN and you do not know me. I have been following your Caring Bridge site. Last year at this time my husband was at Madonna receiving therapy for a brain bleed stroke on the right side that really damaged his left side! We both found so much comfort and peace at this time of year by attending the Catholic Christmas services at the beautiful Madonna Chapel. Even if you are not Catholic it helped us find peace and hope for his recovery. Everyone was so friendly to us at Madonna. It is a wonderful place!!! Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year! God bless all of you!!!

Kurt - like Tina Uecker, you do not know me . I also have been following your son's progress as a now retired trauma surgeon . I had the privilege of staying in Britton and attending games after Trevor's injury, with the Feldhaus family with whom I have long term connections. I write this to express my profound respect and appreciation for you as a father ......your recent post is so very correct in all respects. With your continued support, Trevor is going to do well. Thank you for defraying any criticism of the coaching staff ....they seem to set the example of how to be good coaches and role models for young men. The head coach seems to be way beyond reproach. Again, you are setting the example of how to be a father in the worst situation imaginable....you're patience will be rewarded .
With profound respect

Hello - you do not know me, but I have been following your progress and wish nothing but good things for you all. Your story hits close to my heart, as my nephew - TREVOR - was in a severe car accident about 4 years ago in Lincoln, NE and had a traumatic brain injury. He spent many weeks at Madonna, receiving amazing care. I remember getting videos of him just trying to walk and the struggle getting out of bed, or lifting a spoon to his mouth. The progress was slow, but you have to take joy in the small steps, because overtime they lead to the big steps. I am happy to say that today, Trevor has made a full recovery, and I believe it was because of the care he received. I know that you are all in good hands. I wish you all the Merriest of Christmas, I will continue to pray for your family.

Thank you for sharing the feedback to all the what-if's and maybe's. We all know that had there been any signs, precautions would have been taken. Just focus on Trevor and his needs and help him through his recovery. I hope the Christmas season will bring him continued progress and a full recovery. God's blessing to you all.

Waiting can be an extremely trying time. In the struggle and uncertainty of His answer, know that His timing is as perfect as He is. While you're waiting watch for where He's actively and intentionally with you. "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him" Psalm 37:7
