Trevor’s Story

Site created on September 26, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Things can change in an instant.  One day Trevor was feeling fine, making jokes, working hard and enjoying the California sun, then on Wednesday September 23 Trevor woke up with numbing on one side of his body.  He went to the ER, blood tests, an MRI and scans were done and by Thursday morning it was confirmed that Trevor has a brain tumor and its cancerous.  Friday afternoon he was transferred to St. John's Santa Monica hospital. Today, Saturday September 26 Trev had surgery to biopsy the tumor in his brain and confirm what form of cancer he has.  The surgeons were able to remove a large portion of the tumor and are hopeful with the type of cancer it is.  We will know for sure what type of cancer and the course of treatment later next week.  Right now he is in the ICU, he is awake and doing great.  So much is still unknown, we are constantly getting new information.  We will keep everyone updated as best we can here.

Trevor's attitude has been extremely positive and in high spirits, he is looking forward to beating this. Help us support Trevor's positive mindset and get him through this by posting a positive upbeat message, a photo or great memory you have of Trev.

Thank you for your support

Journal entry by Megan Dewald

Trevor’s surgery went well. They were luckily able to remove most of the tumor. Trevor was able to go back home this weekend and is recovering from the comfort of his own home. Kat is by his side every step of the way. Trevor has an appointment later this week with the neurological oncologist to figure out the nest steps with Chemotherapy and Radiation. Keep Trevor in your thoughts and prayers and keep sending him healthy healing energy.
