Trent’s Story

Site created on October 3, 2021

Trent Gorges is a hard-working, loving, devoted husband & father. His wife, Kirsten, & he have 4 sons and a baby girl due in January 2022. He is a coach for his kids sports & activities. He is an honest Christian man who loves his life & his family beyond words. He is kind & would do just about anything for his friends or a stranger in need.

In September, Trent was surprised with a colon cancer diagnosis. At the young age of only 27...as you can imagine, all the emotions hit him and Kirsten like a ton of bricks. As they navigated the shock and fear, they began doing research and making calls to find the best holistic approach possible. He has gone for multiple scans and doctor visits. They have spent countless hours searching online & asking a million questions to local, national and international natural healing centers.

They are creating a healthcare team and rock-solid game plan to walk with faith and hope through the days ahead.

Trent & Kirsten don't know exactly what the days and months ahead will bring. But they are certain that Trent and their family will be healthier and stronger because of the lessons they will learn along the way. They are going ALL IN on healing physically & emotionally--they believe and expect miracles!! They trust that God and the angels will walk with them every single step of the way.

We will be using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support!! As you can imagine, every dollar will help with treatment and healthcare costs. Every gift card or meal will help take some weight off of their shoulders so they can focus on healing and loving/leading their young family.

You can contribute by leaving well wishes, joining the meal train, and sending thoughtful gifts. You just never know how much it can mean to write a little note or send a prayer.

Your kindness & generosity are appreciated more than we can put into words!

Journal entry by Devin Vrana

I have known Trenton since biddy-ball days when he played for the Kansas Komets with my lil brother, Derek. I have gotten to watch him grow up, face adversities, rise above challenges, get married, raise babies & build a beautiful life for his adorable family.

I am honored to be friends with and a chiropractor for Trent, Kirsten, and their beautiful lil crew. When they reached out and told me about this cancer diagnosis, my heart dropped. Cancer brings fear and anger and sadness. I have watched too many wonderful people go through the roller coaster. And, while it leaves that ache in the heart... I know that God is always carving us out and bringing us closer to Him--even or especially when the dark days come knocking.

It took me about 3 seconds to offer to help.

I am sure anyone reading this is like me... we want to take all the pain away and fix it for them somehow. But, we can't. We cannot focus on the uncontrollables... we have to build Trent & Kirsten up in FAITH, HOPE & LOVE! We rally in prayer and support. We bring meals and donate and cheer them on! We trust in the angels to protect their family--and we do the one thing they need the most... send LOVE every step of the way!

EXPECTING MIRACLES down this journey.
And, I am grateful that they would open up to let us be a part of the adventure, the ups and downs.

Love you guys so much!

~Devin
