Journal entry by Marissa Wells

So this is my 2nd go around with breast cancer. We have prayed against chemo, but it was stated that I needed it. So my prayer then changed from no chemo to let me be the exception God. Don't let me get sick like others, don't let me have pain, don't let me lose my hair. Let me be the EXCEPTION. So this week, Tuesday, May 22nd I had my first treatment. With the exception of them having to restart the IV, it went well. I had fatigue, diarrhea and stomach cramps but I was ok with that. The next day I was set to have my Neulasta shot. It went fine. They told me I should have flu like symptoms, but since I didn't really have any major issues with the chemo the first day, I thought no big deal. I was completely wrong. This shot has given me body aches,  fatigue and no appetite on top of the diarrhea. I'm praying that this is the last day of pain. I trust God. Through this journey I know that He will get the glory and that it will help someone else. My first battle in 2014 caused restoration in my family, so I know there is a plan. I won't say this is easy and that I haven't cried due to the pain, but I will say that it is teaching me more and more about God. He showed me these places to get them taken care of. Purpose! Last year He gave me From Pain To Promise. And now He gives me Prevail In Your Purpose! He will strengthen me where I am weak and I believe tomorrow will be a better day!! Love you all and continue to pray for Jonathan and I! We feel them!
