Trae’s Story

Site created on April 20, 2018

Welcome to Trae & Stephanie Thompson’s caring bridge site. I started this in hopes of making it a little easier for them to communicate and give updates with friends and family regarding Trae's medical journey. We love you all and thank you for your love, prayers, and support! A GoFundMe page has also been created for Trae and Steph. Please visit the page gofundme.com/traethompson

He's out of surgery. He's getting settled into ICU. Dr said we're almost halfway to where we need to be. The prayer is that he can go the 6 months between surgeries because he's right up to the edge of how much radiation is considered ok. He's considering what the next steps will be but we'll follow up with Dr in about a month to see where he's at then go from there.

Looks like he may be able to go home tomorrow if everything goes well tonight and tomorrow morning.
Thank you for praying!

Memory and disorientation are the big challenges in recovery. I’d love your prayers for grace and strength for each of us (myself and our families) in walking out his recovery! And of course a quick, easy recovery for him physically, mentally and emotionally.
