Tracy’s Story

Site created on September 25, 2018

Two weeks ago, our favorite Tracy Chavez, owner of EYECANDYSF,  felt a tighting in her chest that would not go away. A client and fellow stylist Jennifer decided she needed to go to the hospital ASAP.

Tracy has found out she has cancer and has immediately started treatment. It is a rare form called Synovial Sarcoma.  The protocol that has been decided for Tracy's treatment is that she will have 4 rounds of chemo to shrink the cancer. The verdict is still out on if they will operate on her tumor, depending on how it reacts to the chemo.

Her doctor has advised her that she will be unable to work for approximately three months. There is a chance after each round of chemo she will feel well enough to go to work for a few days. We will keep you posted. While EYECANDYSF will remain opened, it will operate with limited hours until Tracy can come back full time. There will be other great artists to take care of your needs.

As you can imagine, this has come as a complete shock to Tracy and to her devoted husband Danny and their precious 3 year old daughter, Ayla June.

Over the 20 years working her craft in San Francisco, Tracy has touched many lives with her magic as a truly gifted aesthetician but more importantly, she has shared with us her genuine and kind spirit always making us feel special when under her care.
