Traci’s Story

Site created on August 19, 2018

Multiple Myeloma started affecting me in April 2018, a tumor was discovered at the end of July 2018, and I collapsed, was hospitalized, diagnosed in August 2018. I was treated with radiation and chemo. In April 2019 is had a stem cell transplant. My stem cells were harvested in mid-March. I went into the hospital on April 2nd, got a venous catheter installed in my upper arm, and then got a massive dose of chemo to kill my immune system. On Thursday the 4th they re-introduced my stem cells. My immune system is re-growing. It can defend me from colds but probably not measles.
