Journal entry by Tracey Beert

Good afternoon!  I now have one week left of radiation!  Basically the left side of my head is completely bald so Tony shaved the right side to make it even.  I still get a little  startled when I see myself in a mirror, by the way,  I won't  be taking any pictures of my cute self to post.  From what I  understand,  I will get  a new MRI and then a short break from chemo (1-2 weeks).  Then I will be taking chemo  for quite awhile.  We seem to get different/changed answers from different Dr's or Tony and I  don't always understand. It also depends on what tests show too. We completely trust them, fortunately.  I've been asked, by friends, if I will get chemo again. I will not. At some point the neuroblastoma will form again and it's too much for the brain to try and take out more neuroblastoma/brain tissue. To try and shrink it again (which is what is happening now with the radiation) is also too hard on the brain. Tony and I got our 1st  Covid shots this week,  just a sore arm, hopefully next one won't be too bad!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
More thanks and gratitude for all the good thoughts and prayers.
