Journal entry by Mai Khang —
Tony's doing good. He's strong and a fighter. He been having phantom pains. There's nothing I could do to help ease the pain. I feel bad and it hurts to see him like that but I know my pain is nothing comparable to his. He took his medications but said nothing helps. I asked how it feel like from the phantom pain and he described it constantly getting stab on the foot or pins and needles poking him all over the leg. I felt terrible because he was shaking as he tried to describe his pains.
