Tony Rowe, 73, of Jasper, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at Walker Baptist Hospital from complications related to the Covid-19 virus with his wife and daughters at his side.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at Walker Memory Gardens, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. The Rev. John P. Gates of Mount Vernon Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service at Five Loaves Café and Bakery in Jasper at 3 p.m.

Tony Rowe was born in Jasper July 29, 1947. He graduated from Walker High School in 1967 and Walker College in 1969. From 1969 to 1979, Tony worked on secured service installations for Western Electric and was also self-employed. From 1980 until his retirement in 2016 Tony held several management positions with Drummond Company. He was recently working as an independent contactor in coal sales.

Tony was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather (Pop T) who enjoyed Alabama football and NASCAR racing. Tony was a giver of heart to everyone he knew. He had a great sense of humor appreciated by all and never met a stranger. His greatest joy was boating and cooking for his family and friends on beautiful Smith Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Rowe; his mother, Alma Rowe; and two sisters, Lucy Putman and Tommie Jean Barton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Regan Congdon Rowe; two daughters, Jennifer Primm of Tampa, Florida and Blakeney Hossa (Steve) of Birmingham, Alabama; one son, Jeff Primm (Robyn) of Ocala, Florida; one granddaughter, Peyton Emmerson Primm of Ocala, Florida; and his fur babies, Boris, Reilly and Cooper.

Pallbearers will be his nephew, Tim McCoy of Jasper, his three great nephews, J Brock McCoy, Clay McCoy and Curt McCoy; dear friend, Jonathan Barton; and son-in-law, Steve Hossa.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to, Walker County Humane Society, Samaritan's Purse or Salvation Army.
