Tony's music was a necessary part of life for me. Terribly sad to see him leave so early. Happy that he was able to do so much for so many people with his art.
Sending my condolences. Very sad news to wake up to this morning. Tony was a major presence & influence to all us musicians in the S.F punk community. I was hoping to re connect one day in these golden years having shared a similar love for all music and us both having been stricken with this awful enemy Cancer. I am truly saddened and send all my condolences and strength to all Tony’s family, friends & Fans world wide! The world lost one hell of a Cowboy & Music Man! Rest well Tony Kinman
My condolences to you, Chip and the Kinman family, I didn''t know Tony that well, though we played several gigs together in the 80's as part of the "country punk" movement (such as it was. Rubber Rodeo, much to the surprise of most everyone else in the music industry, was huge fans of Rank & File even though our music was on seemingly opposite ends of the spectrum. Their music had that ability to build bridges and I still listen to it regularly. It is one hell of legacy. Peace.
