Unfortunately I did not see this website until today. I have posted things through Chip this past week. The world will a more somber place without Tony's smile, laugh and wit. I had not seen or talked with him for many years, but spent time with the Kinmans back in their Dils and R&F days. Ronnie and I put on shows for them around the Northwest. They often stayed with us. In fact, after Tony broke up with his then girlfriend Pam, I found Tony walking around head down. He explained to me what happened and that he was not sure where he was going to stay. So, I took him home. He stayed with Ronnie and I a few weeks until Chip and Aljendro played at our club, urban NOIZE. Tony joined the New York based Rank and File on stage for a couple of songs. After they played in Seattle and Vancouver, the band came back to our house for Thanksgiving. When they went back East again, Tony got into the van. My condolences to Chip, Lisa and Kristie. Tony touched so many people with his personality and music that his spirit will be around as long as there is still one punk standing. RIP Tony.

Thanks to Lisa Kinman for keeping everyone posted. For those family friends & fans reading all these comments & notes there was a beautiful tribute to the music of the Brothers Kinman on WSLR-FM radio in Sarasota FL last evening that was awesome. It was 2 hours of Kinman musical magic & will still be online for a couple of weeks. The DJ is Jill a friend of the brothers for decades. If you want to listen to the music just go to the radio station website & click on "archive". There is a list of radio shows. Just scroll down to Spirit of Punk/Velvet Radio [May 3] and hit play. Hope Tony could feel all the love that poured out of the radio last night for 2 hours. Safe journey kind sir & love to everyone caring for Tony <3

So terribly saddened to hear about this and sending much love to Tony, Kristie and Chip. It has been some long while since I have seen everyone, but many fun and funny times have been spent together. Tony was always the best interpretive dance partner ever!!! XO

Chip and Tony are my idols, and I can't stress that enough. I loved their ability to create such wonderful music and harmonies together. I was introduced in the late 70s as a teen living in Vancouver and started my first punk band in 1978 whilst in high school. Class War was the best thing I'd ever heard. I wished that my sister would play music with me, but I found that in my friend Kim (who was as tall as Tony and played bass). I was the smaller blonde AKA Chip equivalent. I once was spray painting RED ROCKERS RULE on a wall and the spray can got a bit gummy. I shook it up and sprayed, not realising that it was pointed at my face. Of course I got red spray paint all over my face and clothes. 'No officer, I wasn't vandalising!' Famous last words.

I love you forever Kinman Bros for giving me the courage to get out loud and proud, play with harmony and protest in music when I was a kid. Tony you will never be forgotten. xoxoxo ❤️

Tony, Thank you for changing my life. I remember my first Dil's show at the Mab, you guys played with the Avengers. I was being trained as the lighting person that night and when the band hit the stage with the hammer and sickle flag. I remember my whole perception of music and life changed at that point. As a DJ, I always enjoyed playing the Dills and Rank and File. Thank you, You and your brother Chip made a difference in my life and on this planet. May your journey be peaceful and a beautiful adventure. Much love and respect, Denise Demise.

Dear Tony. Our thoughts are with you tonight . Everyone in the Gordon Clan and the Denneys are sending lots of love to you and Kristie and your families... You were always so kind to me during the many times our paths crossed, and I remember thinking : « What a kind and sweet gentleman Tony really is !» I am so glad Kristie found such a good guy! ❤️

Take good care of Nineteen. Tell him to hang in there and I'll bring around some pain killers when my poppies bloom. Fuck this tears me up.

Aloha Tony ~ I’ve been thinking about you and Kristi non stop since Dave A let me know about your illness. And fitting that he did since I will never forget when he drove “all the way “ to the Valley to pick me up and take me to the Cathay De Grande for the first Rank and File show. He was insisting that I would flip out for the band and flip I did! It was an honor to be in the video and a joy always to see you perform. You are a true original and a class act, always have been, and I see now that you still living up to that. I know you are surrounded by love and even though I am across the ocean, I send you mine from the bottom of my heart.
