Toni’s Story
Site created on March 17, 2019
Earlier this month I was having some issues with my health so I went to my doctor. After exams and tests with a couple of doctors I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer (Uterine Cancer). I am still waiting for the results of these tests to determine the course of action for my treatment. Probably a hysterectomy, that’s good I don’t want any more kids anyway, and I could need chemo, not sure at this time. All in all my life has been very busy and fast moving lately so I am looking forward to a vacation and being waited on by nurse Ratchet, sister Cherri. I need to find my big bell, the one that rings very loud, so she won’t ignore me. I know she can cook better than big sister, Crystal, I don’t want mac & cheese for every meal. Crystal will be helping me with updates to this site, in fact she is writing this now so blame her for everything that is misspelled. Thanks, Crystal, for taking care of this. I have AMAZING family and friends I know are here for me. This is a very treatable cancer with a high percentage of complete recovery so I am not stressing but will ALWAYS take any extra hugs, positive energy and prayer you want to send. Toni
Had an appointment with Dr. Yang last Thursday and due to a very low White blood count Chemo was cancelled until they figure out why. I had a white cell booster shot both Thursday and Friday and I am now waiting for a call from Dr. Miho Dougherty (Hematologist) to call me this week for a consult. Hopefully I can get back on track soon.
