Journal entry by Bill Ericson —
Dear Friends and Family,
Some of you know and others do not yet but Tom entered the hospital last Thursday with shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. The initial diagnosis was a lung infection, possibly pneumonia, but they are not ruling anything out. Over the course of the last 5 days Tom's condition has declined. Currently he is on a ventilator and receiving support for his blood pressure and kidneys. We started out at Emory Midtown and are now over at the main campus. As of this morning the doctor indicated to me that we are heading in the right direction. And that's good news. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support. I am hopeful that in the next few days I will have good news.
