I have been your fan on Central Texas Gardener & missed you after your stroke. I am currently watching what may be your reruns. Since I was out of Texas for 30 yrs, I still have much to learn. I hope you are feeling OK.

Wishing you continuing recovery. I finally started watching Texas Crntral Gardener- moved from Austin more than a decade ago and returned to my family homestead in Houston on 5 acres of land. Different climates and soil but I have purple age and mountain laurel that I loved on our Austin spread. So- continue to heal and know that you’re an inspiration-even from a distance.

God bless,

Hi Tom, It's been awhile since I have been on my computer to drop you a note. Now with spring coming (or here already!) my mind turns to the garden. I think about you often and continue to hold out hope for you to return to CTG. I am becoming more and more interested in Texas native plants. It would be great for you to be able to introduce us to master gardeners and resources for Texas natives. I have a lot of work in front of me to remove all the invasives I planted back in the seventies to fill up blank spaces. All the new people to our area need lots of information about natives so they can do better from the beginning. Hope you are enjoying these days as they gradually grow longer. Take care, Friend. You are a treasure.

I am a gardener in Dallas and a retired garden editor and writer. I record episodes of CTG because it is shown on my PBS station, because I often know the garden professionals who are guests and because the advice often is universal. I have met Linda L. at Garden Writers symposia but never you, Tom. But I enjoy even the years-old reruns in large part because of your quiet, reassuring demeanor as you interview your guests. I just wanted to say hello and thank you and your team for the contributions to Austin.

I so much appreciate your steadfast hosting of Central Texas Gardener. I learned so much and got inspiration for what can grow and thrive here. My people came to Fredericksburg, Texas in 1849. When my mother and father married in 1959, they moved to San Antonio where my two brothers and I grew up. Mom liked flowers, Dad grew veggies and planted trees. I moved to Austin in 1993, and now I can do my thing! Blessings on your recovery, and thank you for all you have done to make central Texas a wonderful place to live. Bless you!

Hi, Tom. Was jist listening to some jazz and remembering that you were the person to introduce me to Bill Frisell. I wondered what you were up to, so I did a quick search. Sorry to learn of your stroke. Wishing you well. Welcome to the community of disabled people, some of the best people I have had the privilege to know. Sending love your way.
