Greetings Tom. I wanted to stop by and wish you well. My old email provider went out of business, so I have been working my way through all my correspondence and giving out my new address. I hope I haven't missed any updates in the meantime.

I'm going to be doing some landscaping soon, including transplanting a young oak tree that's growing too close to the house. It's now as tall as I am. Wish me luck.

Best wishes to you, Tom.

Hi, Tom, I listened to you on the radio for years and valued your ideas and information. Now I eagerly watch Central Texas Gardener and am delighted when you're on. It's wonderful to hear that you continue to contribute to life through your art. Wish I lived in Austin so I could visit. Kay Beard

Tom, for many years, I watched you on Central Texas Gardner weekly and looked forward to always learning something new. I notice your absence on the show immediately then called my son-in-law Bobby. We both watch the show then discuss what we learned. It is wonderful to see all the happy times you enjoy. Thanks for all of your wonderful contributions to the show and everyone's garden! Happy belated birthday.

Hi Tom. I moved to Central Texas in 2018 and was randomly searching for something to fill my Saturday afternoon. I happened upon PBS and was hooked on Central Texas Gardener. I took my non existent backyard from 2 trees to a relaxing place to watch nature. Thank you for introducing me to gardening. Your infectious smile, enthusiasm, and knowledge of plants has influenced me and made me a plant enthusiasts. Wishing you many blessings and a rapid recovery. God bless you!!

We don’t always know how we affect others in our journey around the sun, but I wanted to take a moment to let you know how you have affected me. I am a transplanted northern gardener (Washington state). One of my earliest memories is planting marigolds when I was 3 years old, and that is when the gardening bug bit me. I have been gardening for the past 67 years. Having moved to San Antonio in late 2020 I discovered much of my accumulated gardening experience didn’t prepare me for the climate and clay I had transplanted in to. Thankfully I found your Central Texas Gardener program and have watched all of the episodes I can find, some of them several times. The abundance of knowledge you shared has helped me understand how to garden in this different environment. In my first couple of years renovating my new yard I have had some disappointments, but many successes. I am gradually learning the new plant pallet, and greatly appreciate the various resources you shared on your programs. As I am approaching my final retirement I am joining some of the local garden clubs, and look forward to gardening full time and visiting many of the resources you showcased on your shows. I am deeply grateful for your guidance and mentoring. I don’t know if you are aware of who my friend, fellow gardener, and TV celebrity Cisco Morris in Seattle is, but I think of you as the Cisco Morris of Texas. Both you and Cisco have helped me to become the avid gardener that I am. So it was with great sadness I became aware of your recent illness. I pray for your continued recovery. I miss not having new episodes of your program. Gardens all over the Texas hill country will be your lasting legacy, and the results of your journey through our lives. Best wishes.
