Tom, I miss you on Central Texas Gardener but everyone is doing a fine job keeping the show going. I know you are doing your best to recover and that it is slow going. You are strong and will get through this. No rush, we are all self-quarantined during this time, and will continue to be for quite some time. Wish you well, your fan!

Hi Tom, I bet you are going stir crazy not being in the garden these days. This virus thing has everyone working in the yard and gardens; you should see how many weeds I have pulled from my xeriscaped front yard! When I pull them, I remember what you have said that one man’s weeds are another person’s favorite plant (or something to that effect).
I emailed Daphne a couple weeks ago and asked her about this fragrant grassy pale green plant that comes back each year. She immediately identified it as “curry grass”, and told me it is not edible. Anyway, I’ve also got this newly planted “passion vine” with edible fruit! I’m waiting for the flowers or fruit this year.
Finally, the figs are coming! It’s going to be a good year. I make preserves so maybe I can figure out a way to get you a jar in July.
So, I just wanted to send you some “viewer mail” to entertain you a bit. Pray to God to give you the power to speak and think clearly again, but if it doesn’t happen, don’t fret. Just move forward from where you are at. Thanks Tom. Than you for your love of plants and animals.

Tom--Diane and I send you heartfelt wishes for your recovery. We are so sorry to hear about your situation, and we hope it improves soon. You always have so many wise and insightful words, and the world today is sorely in need of your words of wisdom. Thinking of you. Also, the Explorers' Class has made a $200 contribution to your million tree project at TreeFolks.
